Omega Speedmaster Chronograph aka ‘Tintin Speedmaster’ from 2017, protective stickers and full box and papers.

” The Ref:311.30.42.30.01.004 was launched in Basel Switzerland in 2013 and to very little fan fare, but things were to change for this watch”
– Paul Maudsley

In 2013 the watch was titled the ‘Omega Speedmaster Racing’ due to the red and white chequered minute track.  Later that year when the Head of Omegas Product development was asked by the online watch journal Fratello it transpired that the watch was actually to do with Hergé’s Tintin character and the famous colour of the rocket ship in the comic books. And they were to produce a watch featuring the red and white minute track and the rocket. Sadly a plan the publishers didn’t take too. So the watch just featured the track and had red infill on the case back designation. The nickname ‘Tintin Speedmaster’ was then coined by Fratello and now collectors covet the model worldwide.

This watch dates from 2017 and is truly unworn (apart from my photographs) it’s full size bracelet and comes with its beautiful box, guarantee cards, instructions and swing tag.  I don’t know of any others in this original state and at this price.

£9,950.
